KING Aitor Karanka might ve to be too little, too late Middlesbrough – but they uld bring in Harry Redknapp ry to save them.

hey get Harry in until the end of the n, he will get them out of trouble. plays an attacking brand of football lls his players with confidence. y need to win matches. They don’t a long-term appointment who would orried about his job and just try to sure they don’t lose every week. y need someone to come in and keep up, someone who has nothing to ve. I think Harry would take it under those circumstances and then they could look at it again in the summer. It’s very late in the season now to sack your manager so the timing is very strange. If it’s player power that has brought him down, the players should have gone to the chairman a lot quicker than this. I would have kept him on because he is still a good manager. He’s just been too stubborn. But they are going down with a whimper at the moment. That’s because he hasn’t changed anything all season. They don’t score enough goals and it’s hurting them. He should be playing with two up front, or at least trying to attack teams. Other sides get relegated because they are out of their depth. But they always have a go. Boro don’t even do that. I’ve never n anything like it before. They are ®Êby PAUL BROWN just sleepwalking towards the drop. I played at Middlesbrough and I loved it. It’s a great place with great fans.

But I can’t see how they are going to stay up. They are a gift to their rivals right now.

Karanka will probably look back and think he should have had somebody stronger in there as his No.2 – somebody who would have challenged him and convinced him to change.

But if Boro think they are going to do a Leicester by putting Steve Agnew in charge, they need to think again.

You can’t suddenly expect the Boro players to become world beaters just because the manager leaves, because they weren’t beating the best in the world in the first place.

The first thing they need to do now is have a go, though, because whoever plays up front for Boro at the moment looks so isolated that you can only feel sorry for them.

Results

No wonder Alvaro Negredo hasn’t scored many goals. They brought Patrick Bamford in during the window and he’s hardly played either, so what was the point of doing it?

I always say that if you do the same things over and over again you get the same results – and that’s what’s happening at Boro.

So they should go for it against Manchester United. Play two up top and try to win the game. They are running out of time.

I think Sunderland are already down. I can’t see them turning it around.

But Bournemouth suddenly look like they are safe.

Hull had a good win the other day as well but you just wonder where Boro’s next big result is coming from.

Even Crystal Palace have started winning games but they do have some tough matches coming up. They probably have the hardest run-in.

Boro’s fixture list isn’t easy either. They need to get their act together quickly or it will all be over.
