ROM OUT OF THIS WORLD

Chadli bigs up Lukaku

-

ROMELU LUKAKU is now a player top clubs can be built around, says Belgium teammate Nacer Chadli.

The £60m striker wants out of Everton in the summer after turning down a new clubrecord £140,000-a-week deal.

Lukaku is riding high at the top of the Premier League scoring charts with 21 goals.

And he bagged his sixth of the World Cup qualifying campaign in Belgium’s 1-1 Group H home draw with Greece on Saturday.

The 23-year-old’s club boss Ronald Koeman reckons Lukaku still has a long way to go to become truly world class.

But Belgium team-mate ® from HECTOR NUNNS Chadli believes the former Chelsea man is almost there.

“He scores, and he scores a lot of goals,” said the West Brom star.

“Those goalscorers are precious and clubs can build a team around them.

Crucial

“He seems almost at the top of his game at the moment. You see him score almost every week for Everton.

“And then he comes away with Belgium and scores a crucial equaliser that helps his country try and get to the World Cup.

“He can do anything in this game for his club and country. I have played with Romelu now for six years with the national team and I have seen him evolve over that time.

“His game has got better each year. Now he is scoring more easily – he is a top player.

“He is only 23, so you have to assume he will improve further in the next few years. He will end up a better player than now.”

Lukaku, who said last week that his club future had been decided, insisted: “There is nothing wrong with being ambitious.

“Some people take that for arrogance, but it is just a goal on which I am fixed.

“It is my goal to become the best, but there is a long way to go for that.”
