IS THAT A FISHEYE LENS OR JUST MAIN BREAM?

Car light so dippy

A MOTORIST got so sick of his van’s broken headlight he turned it into a fish tank.

Matthew Krebs grew tired of draining the fitting whenever it rained so he stuck Main Bream the goldfish in it.

His new addition has become a hit with his flooring company’s customers.

And best of all, the 31-year-old says the LDV tipper van’s headlight is still in use and does not harm the fish.

Hilarious

Matthew, from Scunthorpe, said: “One of our work vans has a leaking light due to a hole in the front of it. It keeps filling with rainwater and had been doing for a month. So I thought we could make use of it rather than getting a new light.

“It was my idea. I had never seen anything like it before, I just came up with it out of the blue.

“My colleagues thought the idea was really funny so we thought let’s do it.

“We got a goldfish from the pet shop. We called him Main Bream, which seemed appropriate. We had to pick a particularly tiny fish to make sure we could fit him in through the hole.”

Dad-of-two Matthew says such is the popularity of Main Bream, he may get some friends for him.

Matthew said: “We still use the vehicle. Customers love it and they think it’s hilarious. We’ll keep him in there as long as he is happy.

“He’s still swimming about so I assume he’s happy.

“If it gets cold I will take him out and we are parking the van inside the garage every night so he is not exposed to the elements.

“Maybe we will get him some friends, it depends how famous he gets. He is getting quite a reputation already with our customers.

“But we keep a close on eye on him to ensure he is always OK and well fed on fish food and bread.”
