Saints chase Sakho
SOUTHAMPTON and Napoli are considering summer swoops for Mamadou Sakho.
The 27-year-old Liverpool defender is on loan at Crystal Palace until the end of the season.
Sakho was binned by Kop boss Jurgen Klopp after a string of discipline issues.
But he has been impressing at Palace since he moved to Selhurst Park in January.
Sakho has now started three games on the trot and Sam Allardyce’s side have kept clean sheets in all of them.
The former Paris St-Germain star is still under contract at Anfield until 2020 and the Reds want around £20m for any permanent deal.

Saints are bracing themselves for the loss of star defender Virgil van Dijk and see Sakho as a replacement. But they face competition from Italian side Napoli.
Liverpool will fly Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino back from Brazil on a private jet tomorrow morning to get them ready for Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton.
The pair are in Brazil’s squad for their World Cup qualifier against Paraguay in Sao Paolo.
