NIGEL: I WILL TAKE EXIT IF BREXIT FAILS

NIGEL Farage last night threatened to “go and live abroad” if Brexit was a disaster.

The former Ukip leader made the statement to listeners to his LBC radio show.

But he added: “It isn’t going to be a disaster. We’ve managed to get ourselves in a lifeboat off the Titanic. The EU does not work.”

His remarks came as Theresa May urged Britain to “come together” as she prepares to trigger the divorce procedure from the European Union.

The Prime Minister will call for Leave and Remain supporters to put the referendum behind them and make a success of Brexit as the country embarks on a “momentous journey”.

Mrs May will chair a meeting of the Cabinet this morning as the letter formally invoking Article 50 goes to Brussels.

She will tell MPs: “It is my fierce determination to get the right deal for every single person in this country.” The country’s exit letter will be delivered to European Council president Donald Tusk by the British ambassador to the EU at around 12.30pm.
