Ecstasy plunge killed clubber

-

A CLUBBER fell 60ft to his death after scaling scaffolding while high on ecstasy.

An inquest heard James Lees, 21, took up to five tablets before clambering up to the sixth floor of a building at 3am.

He slipped, fell and was found lying on the road with multiple injuries.

Tests showed technical analyst James had taken “fatally toxic” levels of ecstasy, along with drug MDA and a previously legal high known as NRG3.

The tragedy occurred after the victim had been partying at the Warehouse Project in Manchester, where three other clubbers have died in drug incidents.

The Manchester hearing was told James and his pals attended the club last November after travelling from their homes in Hartlepool, Co Durham.

Coroner Fiona Borrill recorded a narrative conclusion, saying James died as a result of an accident contributed to by the effects of excessive use of MDMA and MDA.
