DEJAN LOVREN has urged Jurgen Klopp to forget his fall-out with Ivan Perisic and sign him.

The Inter Milan winger is mulling over a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea both interested.

He played under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, but was shipped out to Wolfsburg just 18 months into a five-year deal.

Perisic caused a storm by slating Klopp in public for not playing him enough and was branded childish in response.

But the winger’s Croatia team-mate Lovren believes he would be a great signing for Liverpool and that he would be welcomed on Merseyside with open arms.

“We players do not know anything about transfers until they happen,” said the centre-half. “That’s always the case.

“But a player like Perisic moving to Liverpool would be great. He is a top-quality player. All the players would welcome him with open arms.

“Obviously I do not know if it is true. But what I can say is that he has exceptional football skills, knowledge and a higher than average quality.”

United boss Jose Mourinho travelled to Croatia last week, but played down reports that he met Perisic’s agent Predrag Mijatovic during his trip.

The 28-year-old has scored nine goals this season for Inter.

He is under contract until 2020, having signed from Wolfsburg for £13m in 2015.
