Harry girl Meghan makes her Markle
MEGHAN Markle appears to be cementing her place in the Royal Family in this A-list photoshoot.
The picture appeared in a publication favoured by Princess Diana.
Prince Harry’s American sweetheart lined up alongside “global leaders” for this month’s Vanity Fair.
The picture was taken at the One Young World summit which was held in Ottawa, Canada.
Megan is seen with former President of Ireland Mary Robinson, poet ® Fatima Bhutto, and women’s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul.
Other celebrities who attended the conference included actress Emma Watson, singer Cher, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Meghan’s magazine feature is another sign she is following in the footsteps of her boyfriend’s late mother Diana, who famously featured in iconic portraits in Vanity Fair.
It is the saucy Suits actress’s first official photoshoot since she was revealed as being in a relationship with Harry. One Young World co-founder Kate Robertson said: “One Young World is honoured to be featured in such an august publication.
“From countering violent extremism to campaigning for gender equality, One Young World ambassadors are fearlessly taking on the world’s biggest challenges and we hope that this calls attention to the remarkable work young leaders are doing.
“We are grateful for the support of Meghan Markle, Emma Watson, Justin Trudeau and all of the other counsellors who took part.”
Writing about One Young World on her lifestyle blog The Tig, Meghan, 35, said: “When I was asked to be a counsellor at One Young World my response was a resounding ‘yes.’
“One Young World invites young adults from all over the world who are actively working to transform the socio-political landscape by being the greater good.
“They are delegates who are speaking out against human rights violations, environmental crises, gender equality issues, discrimination and injustice. They are the change.”
