City’s wait to end but no such joy for Everton

- Charlie McCann of BetVictor gives StarBets his top tips

IT’S a big week on Merseyside, with today’s derby followed by the build-up to the Grand National in seven days’ time.

We are going ¼ odds each-way six places in next Saturday’s big race and on Monday we will be Non-Runner No Bet.

But this lunchtime it’s all about Everton’s bid to break their Anfield hoodoo, where it is 5-2 about a red card being shown.

If Everton are to get a first win at Liverpool since 1999, they’ll need a big game from Romelu Lukaku who is 11-2 to net first and 11-8 to score at any time. But Jurgen Klopp’s side may have too much pace and flair. A 3-1 home win rates the value at our 13-1.

You have to go back to the era of Mike Summerbee and Colin Bell for the last time Manchester City did the double over Arsenal. But if results go against the Gunners this weekend, they will kick off tomorrow afternoon seven points off the last Champions League spot and a dozen adrift of Spurs.

Arsenal are 3-1 to end the season in the top four and I don’t expect them to be any shorter after the visit of City tomorrow, who are BetVictor’s 13-10 favourites. Arsenal are 85-40 and the draw at 13-5.

The last time Arsenal found themselves out of the top five in April was 2006.

They could struggle to cope with the pace and power of the visitors, with City boss Pep Guardiola confirming yesterday that Raheem Sterling (right) and Kevin De Bruyne are fit to play.

Try a 3-1 City win at 15-1, but the big recommendation is for City to win and both teams to score at 11-4 with BetVictor.

City are taken to do the double over Arsenal for the first time in over 40 years – but the wait for an Anfield derby win is set to continue for Everton.
