DANNY Dyer vowed to knock ’em dead yesterday as he burst back on to the EastEnders set while daughter Dani revealed her own blood-soaked bid for stardom.

EASTENDERS’ Danny Dyer is “fighting fit” and back to his gruelling schedule after a sixweek break.

The troubled star was spotted pulling up at Elstree Studios yesterday to film his dramatic comeback with a “killer” storyline.

He was given time off in February amid claims he had a “meltdown” at the boozy National Television Awards.

Furore

Intense and emotional 16-hour filming schedules on the soap had also taken a toll on the hardman.

Cockney Danny, 39, who plays pub landlord Mick Carter, fled to South Africa to escape the furore. And he kept a low profile for a month before returning home to wife Joanne Mas feeling “back to his best”.

He was seen arriving at the soap’s Hertfordshire studios in a Porsche 4x4 and his costars were delighted he is behind the Queen Vic bar.

A source said: “Danny has been missed these last few weeks. So it was a welcome sight seeing him drive back into the studios with a cheeky smile on his face.

“He picked up his scripts for filming a couple of weeks back. The scenes are classic soap, full of emotion and drama.”

Mick, who left Albert Square after his daughter Nancy was hit by a car in Bulgaria, will be “back in the thick of it” from June.

Bosses will not reveal how he will return but insiders say it will delight his loyal fans.

One source said: “The storyline for his return is amazing.”
