Instead, she says, it’s her career ambitions and work ethic which brings the pair closer together.

“Our relationship has never been this good,” she says. “When we first got together it was really hard.

“He was away a lot and I was working on my thing and we do put work first so we found things hard.

“But now we’ve hit that point people keep repeatedly asking us the marriage question, and it’s really annoying because the fact of the matter is we do put work first.

“I know that’s not romantic. It probably will happen in the future but for now it’s not a priority.”

And Chloe admits she trusts James completely – even if he does get bombarded with X-rated temptation from other women.

“In the beginning when we first started dating you’d hear a lot about athletes playing away and it did bother me,” she says.

“And because he’s famous he does get sent naked pictures on a near-daily basis – it was difficult for me to handle.

“Add to that if you are with an athlete you do spend a lot of time apart, which is hard. Plus James loves women, he admits he has done some damage in his time.

“So, at the start, I did have to tackle those things. We have both worked really hard to get to this point where as a couple we are really solid and I do trust him completely.”
