BANK ON JACK ‘N’ JAKE

PAGES OF FANTASTIC START WITH GREYHOUNDS

- By SIMON BANKS

RICJARD HANIKANAI only has the one dog, Cappoquin Jack, which he used to have with champion trainer Mark Wallis.

Hanikanai has taken advantage of the new type of owner-trainer licence and now trains the dog from his home in Fakenham.

CAPPOQUIN JACK (8.04) won at Henlow on just his second start for his new trainer and can score for a second time at Nottingham tonight.

He is likely to be led up by Barrack Jamie on his outside and take it up from the second bend.

Richard Devenish’s BALLYMAC JAKE (8.19) has won four of his last five races and can make it five from six by using his blistering early pace to steal a march on the field.

Maurice Rice’s fast improving puppy, JURA GO GO (6.49), is the bet of the night at Yarmouth.

She made her debut in a lowly A7 back in January and, after a win, appeared to be destined for middle-grade contests.

Then last week she found over a second, winning an A5 by nine ® and half lengths, which pushed her up to the top grade for tonight. Any further improvement can see her land the spoils and set her up for an open-race career.

Erica Samuels’ BEAMING BULLY (7.06) has a plum draw and can land the next race. GLYNNSCROSS TINA (1.33) has been a revelation since arriving at Hall Green from Towcester. She has gone from A8 to A3, winning four of her nine races. If she can reproduce last week’s dynamic break, she can have the race sewn up by the first bend.

MISERABLE BOB (7.58) can put a smile on punters’ faces at Romford. 6.39 6.56 7.58 400m 8.14 (A3) 400m
