3D RIDE IS TALK OF TOWN

THE buzzing streets of New York have found their way to sunny Orlando… thanks to late-night talkshow host Jimmy Fallon.

Universal Orlando Resort has replaced its famous Twister … Ride It Out experience with Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon – and it’s a more than worthy successor.

The new 3D motion-simulator ride mixes the hilarity of Jimmy’s time at The Tonight Show with the bright lights of New York as you, the studio audience, take on the host in an exciting race through the Big Apple and beyond.

The fun begins at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, an exact replica of NBC’s New York headquarters.

Glass cabinets for every Tonight Show host in its 62-year history – from Steve Allen to Jay Leno and Fallon – are filled with suits, props and ticket stubs for guests to check out before the ride.

Race Through New York has a virtual queuing system which allows guests to register in person or via the Universal Orlando app. After arriving at the allocated time slot, guests enjoy live performances from The Tonight Show’s Ragtime Gals and Hashtag the Panda and play games or watch videos on touchscreen computers before the action begins.

The attraction is set in a replica of Studio B, where Jimmy and house band The Roots run through an entertaining safety video.

Crowd

Guests are then directed through to the “studio” to take their seats, buckle-up and put on 3D glasses as the curtains open to reveal Jimmy in his car, “The Tonight Rider”.

This is where the real excitement begins as the crowd races Jimmy through New York City, crashing out of Studio B’s back door on to West 50th Street towards Times Square.

On the way, guests bump into classic characters from Jimmy’s show, before racing through the New York City subway, up through the skies near the Flatiron Building and even underwater in the East River.

The audience comes face-to-face with flying pizzas and a shark, before an awesome roller-coaster race from the moon back down to Earth.
