TAKING THE MICK

Harry’s Jagger is a hit

- By OLIVER PRITCHARD oliver.pritchard@dailystar.co.uk

MICK had better look out – Harry Styles has the moves just like Jagger in a hilarious sketch mimicking the legendary rocker.

The former One Direction singer threw shapes, moved his rubber lips and wiggled his hips in an uncanny resemblance to the iconic Rolling Stones front man.

He even dressed like the rock star, donning an unbuttoned white shirt and jacket during an episode of America’s famous Saturday Night Live show.

When introduced by co-host Steve Harvey, Harry perfectly mimicked Sir Mick’s south London accent and said: “Ello yes Steve – lovely show, a bit of fun isn’t it?”

Steve responded: “I love the Stones and I loved it when you went solo.”

Insane

Mocking his own decision to leave One Direction and go it alone, Harry said: “Solo? Why would anyone in a successful band go solo? That is insane.”

Throughout the five-minute sketch Harry stayed in character, pulling off Jagger-like facial impressions and even throwing his hands up in the air like the legendary star.

When asked what keeps him awake he said: “If I’m up at night it’s because I’ve got a little company, you know, a little hanky panky.”

All this acting will leave fans chomping at the bit to see Harry’s part in upcoming Hollywood blockbuster Dunkirk, about the 1940 British disaster.

At the end of the show a delighted Harry, 23, smiled with pride before hugging the host Jimmy Fallon as the titles rolled.

Before his performance the star admitted he was most “vulnerable” when playing live but excited to be performing again after nearly a year off.

“I’m looking forward to being on stage with the new band and it will be a good time. I am excited to have a job again.”
