confident. We’re ruthless at the minute – whenever we score one, we seem to get that second. Here the third, just after half-time, killed the game.

“It’s important to keep doing that. We’ve got some tough games coming up in the last six with Crystal Palace away, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Shift

“But we’re feeling as confident as we ever have done.

“We’re moving in the right direction. We’ve just got to try and win as many as we can. We’ve got to make sure we keep going. It’s not over yet.”

Since losing at Liverpool on February 11 Spurs have won every game, scoring 22 goals and conceding only four.

They’ve also kept four clean sheets, vastly improving their goal difference.

Kane said: “Scoring goals is important. But keeping clean sheets is just as important. The lads have been great. Everyone worked hard and put in a shift.

Cook said: “There’s obviously no love lost between Arsenal and Tottenham or between Jack and Tottenham fans but it’s not nice.

“It’s very disappointing for the team and for him, especially in this game, that he’s come off injured.

“We’ll need him for these last five games. Hopefully it’s good news and everybody can move on. We’ve got five cup finals. Next weekend against Middlesbrough is a six-pointer and a game we have to win.”
