Gunners could struggle to keep Aguero quiet
WE have two cracking FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley this weekend, with Chelsea facing Tottenham this evening followed by Manchester City and Arsenal tomorrow.
Chelsea enter the final four as marginal 15-8 favourites to claim the trophy next month but are only 8-11 to KO London rivals Spurs, who are evens to win tonight and 3-1 for the cup.
Our outright FA Cup prices are Chelsea 15-8, Man City 2-1, Spurs 3-1 and Arsenal 9-2.
The Gunners secured a needed win at Middlesbrough on Monday night but hardly arrive in sparkling form and I can’t see beyond a City win on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s side have progressed from each of their last eight FA Cup semi-finals and are 1-2 to do so again. But they may be forced to work for their win and I think the 21-10 for City to win and both teams to score is too big.
Sergio Aguero (right) was sharp again against Southampton last Saturday, netting the third goal in City’s 3-0 win at St Mary’s.
Aguero has scored 11 goals in his last 11 games and should enjoy a fruitful afternoon against a hapless Gunners defence – he’s 10-3 to break the deadlock and 20-1 to net a hat-trick.
With four of the top six meeting in the cup semis it gives Liverpool and Manchester United a terrific chance to cement their top-four credentials. We have United 1-2 favourites to leave Burnley with all three points tomorrow and Liverpool are the same price at home to Crystal Palace, who are 11-2 and the draw 3s.
Palace’s Christian Benteke is in terrific form, scoring three in his last four, and is 23-10 to net against his former club. The Reds still look a fair price at 2-1 with BetVictor to win and both teams to score at Anfield.
