THE ex-lover of Towie babe Ferne McCann was last night under police guard in hospital after being held over a nightclub acid attack.
Arthur Collins was arrested following a week-long manhunt after 20 revellers were injured in the rampage.
Last night detectives were still waiting to quiz the 25-year-old as it was revealed reality star Ferne is expecting his baby.
Collins was under medical watch amid concerns he was too frail to attend a police station. Police said he was being monitored by doctors “as a precaution” after his arrest in Northamptonshire
Collins was being held on suspicion of attempted murder after two people were blinded in the attack at the Mangle E8 club in Hackney, east London.
Last night he had not been charged with any crime.
Hours after Collins’s arrest in Rushden, Northants, it emerged that Ferne is expecting his child.
Insiders claim she told Collins that she was having his baby shortly before the nightclub attack.
One source said: “We are all so worried about her.
“Ferne is absolutely devastated by what has happened.”
Hundreds of the star’s fans rallied to support her on social media.
One wrote: “Can already tell Ferne McCann is going to be the best mother!! Just need to focus on this little blessing that’s all yours.”
A 21-year-old man who was arrested on Friday in relation to the acid attack has been charged.
