Distraught Ferne vows: I’ll raise child as single mum
HEARTBROKEN Ferne McCann has vowed to raise her child alone as she battles with the “immense strain” of her ex-lover’s arrest.
The telly star has vowed to plough her heart and soul into her new life as a single mum.
In a statement released after the arrest of Arthur Collins, she pledged to never speak again of the man she “does not recognise from the events of the last week”.

Yesterday he appeared in court over the acid attack in an east London club in the early hours of Easter Monday.
Two revellers were blinded with 20 others burned, scarred and disfigured.
Scaffolder Collins, 24, has been charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
He also faces another charge of throwing a “corrosive fluid on a person”.
Andre Phoenix, of Tottenham, north London, appeared alongside Collins, of Broxbourne, Herts. Phoenix, 21, is charged with seven counts of throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to do GBH to three men and four women.
Thames Magistrates’ Court heard that a third unidentified suspect is still at large.
Both defendants were remanded in custody to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on May 22.
The arrest of Collins amid Ferne’s baby joy has left the Essex beauty distraught.
She said she will not “discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain” she is under. Thanking fans, she said she was “determined to do all she can to have a happy and healthy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.”
At the weekend Ferne was snapped at Bristol airport returning from Ireland.
But Towie insiders say she has cut herself off and told none of her chums about the baby.
One insider said: “We had no idea. It’s really worrying – we don’t know what she’s going to do now, we’re all here for her but she’s not speaking to anyone.”
