White van man rants at Flintoff: I’ve got job to do

- By KATE NELSON kate.nelson@dailystar.co.uk

FREDDIE Flintoff was stumped by a white van man who yelled: “I don’t give a f*** who you are” when the cricket star’s fashion shoot held up a delivery.

The Ashes hero was posing outside a trendy bar when the driver kicked off at photographers blocking the road.

Organisers tried to bat him off by explaining what they were doing, but the driver ranted: “I don’t care, I’ve got a job to do.”

Flintoff, 39, looked baffled by the man’s outburst before watching him deliver boxes to a nearby restaurant.

Freddie, who won the Aussie version of I’m A Celebrity in 2015, kept his cool again when a homeless man strayed on to the set asking for cash.

Excited fans took pictures of the dapper sportsman as he laughed with his modelling pals between takes in Manchester. He sported a grey three-piece suit and white shirt.

Flintoff, now a radio pundit, was in the city to model his menswear range for fashion brand Jacamo’s upcoming collection.

It caters for all sizes but is best known for making clothes for bigger men.

Jacamo and Flintoff’s agent declined to comment on the stand-off.

But a fan who witnessed the incident said: “Freddie was a true gent and didn’t rise to the bait. It seemed like the driver had a bee in his bonnet but Freddie was in a great mood and barely batted an eyelid.”

The cricketer recently backed the Heads Together mental health campaign, led by Princes William and Harry, and Princess Kate.

He tackled depression and bulimia during the height of his career.

Speaking in the campaign video, he said: “I knew that something was not right for a long time and I ran away from it. This is not me, this is not happening.”
