MOUSSA’S PIP BLUES

- By DAVID WOODS

® MOUSSA SISSOKO last night warned Chelsea that Tottenham are ready to pounce if the leaders slip up.

Tottenham kept up the pressure with a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Wednesday thanks to Christian Eriksen’s late winner.

Spurs are four points adrift of the Blues going into Sunday’s north London derby with Arsenal.

Hours earlier, Chelsea face a tough trip to Everton and midfielder Sissoko said: “We will keep waiting for Chelsea to make a mistake.

“There are five games to go. The next match is the big derby against Arsenal and we will do all we can to win it.”

Pressure

Spurs team-mate Toby Alderweireld insisted his team-mates did not need any extra incentive to beat Arsenal.

It is 22 years since Spurs finished above their near neighbours in the table but a White Hart Lane win will see Mauricio Pochettino’s men open a 17-point gap on the Gunners.

Alderweireld said: “It is going to be a special day and you do not need extra motivation. We want to put pressure on Chelsea.

“The only thing we can do is try to win our games. We know it is going to be difficult.”

Midfielder Mousa Dembele (ankle) is a doubt after limping out of Selhurst Park. Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny (knee) could also miss out.
