Josh: I’ll end Wlad career
ANTHONY JOSHUA reckons he can end Wladimir Klitschko’s career at Wembley.
The IBF heavyweight champion defends his title and goes for the vacant WBA belt tomorrow night.
Joshua believes this will be his stepping stone towards greatness – and the end for two-time heavyweight king Klitschko at the age of 41.
Joshua said: “Is it a defining fight for me? I would not say no.
“But it is a defining fight for him because when he
gets beat that could be the end for him. I may not be the best but what I do well I do brilliantly.
“It is just me and a man coming to blows and the best man will win.
“This is just another stepping stone towards greatness.”
Joshua’s trainer Rob McCracken believes time’s up for Klitschko. He said: “As great a fighter as he has been, I think Father Time is a terrible person when he shows up and I think he already has.
“It’s going to be tough for Wladimir. He doesn’t know himself if it’s still there or not.”
Klitschko’s brother and former heavyweight champ Vitali believes Joshua – who is unbeaten in 18 pro fights – is a perfect opponent for his sibling after his defeat by Tyson Fury 18 months ago.
He said: “I know Joshua is a very good fighter who has great skills and has a great fight record.
“But I have to say Joshua has never fought against an opponent as high quality as Wladimir. It will be no easy game for him.”
