'I still want to live the Premier League dream
LAZAR MARKOVIC has been to Hull and back in order to live his Premier League dream.
The winger still believes he can carve out a future at Liverpool, who paid Benfica £20m for him in the summer of 2014 but have since farmed him out to three clubs.
His latest loan is at Hull, where he is playing a big role in their battle for survival.
Markovic, 23, has flourished under Hull boss Marco Silva and his only focus ahead of today’s trip to Southampton is helping them beat the drop.
The Serbian star said: “I came to England to play football and I’ve proved myself – and proved to those who thought otherwise.
‘‘I enjoy playing in the Premier League and want to stay in the Premier League.
“I believed I should play more (at Liverpool) than I did. I got the chance to play more elsewhere. I have no problems with that.
“The manager here at the club influences positively on my game and I enjoy playing for him.”

The admiration is mutual, with Tigers boss Silva saying: “He’s a big talent.
“He’s a player that needs to work hard every day to stay on good form and have confidence to play at his level.
‘‘He’s a good professional, a boy who likes to work. But he needs confidence. I know people might feel happy with his performances but I want to see more from him.
‘‘He has improved in the last games now he knows our ideas, but I know – and he does – that it’s possible he can improve his performances.
“We needed a player like him and we’ve given him time to win his confidence.
“We didn’t have time to lose and the results were important to us. His first games were not the best for him, but we believed in him and showed what we wanted from him.”
Silva’s men are two points clear of the relegation zone.
