SPUR FOR THE TITLE
Kane, Alli key to derby
TOMORROW’S north London derby is as significant as any in recent memory.
Regardless of the result at Goodison Park earlier in the day, Tottenham cannot afford to drop any points against their fiercest rivals if they are to challenge Chelsea for the title.
Arsenal arrive in good shape after beating Manchester City in the cup and then getting over the line against Leicester.
Tottenham went out of the FA Cup last Saturday then had the most testing of midweek examinations at Selhurst Park, yet their gritty performance saw them take the three points from a Crystal Palace side that had won six out of their last eight matches. Arsenal still have hopes of qualifying for the Champions League and there is nothing Gunners fans would like better than to see their heroes put a realistic end to Spurs’ Premier League aspirations.
Ammunition
However, Spurs have the bit between their teeth and home advantage. There shouldn’t be much between the two sides but Spurs have more momentum and they have match-winners.
Tottenham are 10-11 with BetVictor and Betfred and for correct score punters, 2-1 to the home side appeals at BetVictor’s 8-1. Olivier Giroud at Betfred’s 2-1 can get a consolation for Arsenal and it is worth sticking with the Manchester-based firm for a couple of interesting goalscorer bets.
Coupling either Harry Kane at 5-1 or Dele Alli at 15-2 to score two or more goals gives punters plenty of ammunition.
I was at Turf Moor last Sunday to see Burnley comprehensively outpointed by Man United.
The Clarets have hit a sticky patch and are limping to the end of the campaign.
Sean Dyche’s side have done precious little on the road and I expect them to get nothing at Crystal Palace today.
Back Palace at BetVictor’s 21-20 and go for a 2-0 score at 15-2 with the same firm.
