Beijing rematch plan

BOXER Anthony Joshua is eyeing a £100million Chinese takeaway for his next fight.

Far East moneymen want the ring king to have a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Stadium.

And they are willing to smash all records by luring the British champ with the biggest payday in the sport’s history.

The venue holds 91,000, eclipsing the 90,000 at Wembley Stadium that saw Joshua smash the Ukrainian in last weekend’s epic.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn, 37, revealed talks were already under way with Chinese boxing chiefs.

He said: “China’s more likely than America for the next fight. We’ve had some conversations out there. Huge market, huge money. China is a real possibility. My dad Barry’s just done a big snooker deal out there for 10 years.”

China will battle with the US and the Middle East to attract the new IBF, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion.

AJ pocketed £15million for his 11th round victory and there is a rematch clause in Klitschko’s contract.

Hearn predicts he could rake in £50m per fight if he goes abroad – making him the sport’s first billionaire.

He said: “It’s hard to become a billionaire making £10m or £15m a fight. But if he boxed on payper-view in America as well as here, then you can start talking about £30, £40, £50m a fight – and he could have 20 fights left.”
