GOBBY Katie Hopkins was branded a “racist” last night after a tweet about Black Lives Matter sparked a public outcry.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant tweeted: “Dear black people. If your lives matter why do you stab and shoot each other so much.”

It sparked a massive backlash. Comedian Dom Joly said: “Wow, Katie Hopkins on usual racist form,” adding: “How is this woman allowed to exist”.

Another tweet said: “Some people are allowed to be racist and spread hate and incite murder. Twitter needs to send a message #SackHopkins.” Others called for her employers, LBC, to give her the boot.

One user, Sunny Hundal, wrote: “Vile racism from Katie Hopkins is now a normal affair, what does her employer think LBC?

“Time to pressure LBC to #SackHopkins,” another user added.

Shocked fans are used to hearing the motormouth spurt outrageous remarks.

Violence

Hopkins, 42, was sharing a poster for new Netflix series Dear White People when she made the outrageous remark.

Even the brash broadcaster seemed to realise she had gone a step too far because she deleted the post soon after.

The LBC talkshow presenter appeared to be making a dig at the Black Lives Matter movement, which campaigns against violence and racism in America.

Hopkins was due to speak about free speech at the Cambridge Union Society last night.

It is not the first time this week that Katie has been blasted on social media.

She directed her followers to email the President of Exeter University to prevent a Palestinian student from becoming vice-president of the students’ union, tweeting: “STOP THE TAKEOVER.” LBC Radio were approached for comment. Katie’s representatives declined to comment.
