BABY BEAR? THAT NAME’S PAYNEFUL

Twitter mocks Cheryl’s son

CHERYL and Liam Payne have been mocked for naming their son Bear.

The star couple were blasted by fans for choosing the “stupid” moniker for their newborn.

One wrote on Twitter: “Was the birth so painful that Cheryl wanted him to remember it for the rest of his life by naming him #bearpayne??” Another added: “I was hoping for Back or Nagging.”

And a third said: “Could have been worse – I was expecting Cheryl’s bairn to be called Window.”

The former X Factor judge, 33, and her toy boy hunk, 23, said they ® chose the name because they thought it “suited” their boy.

But Celebrity Big Brother star Stephen Bear claimed Cheryl had named her first born after him.

He said: “Maybe it’s because she fancies me. Jokes! It’s a good name. The baby’s going to be good looking with an amazing personality. Congratulations to them both.”

Many fans did not share Stephen’s enthusiasm for the name.

One wrote: “What were they thinking?”

Another tweeted: “Cheryl, wtf have you done to that poor child. Let’s hope he can Bear the Payne of this name.” Tired Liam was spotted yesterday downing energy drinks as he prepared to film a music video in London.

Nick Grimshaw has revealed he decided not to quiz pal Cheryl about her baby in case he spilled her secrets to his listeners.

The BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host said he avoided asking “usual questions” when he dined with the singer before she became a mum.

Grimmy, 32, said: “Normally if a friend is pregnant you ask but I feel like she didn’t want to tell me as she might think I would tell everyone on Radio 1. I probably would if I knew.”
