SPURS WILL MISS LANE

SLAVEN BILIC reckons Tottenham’s bubble is about to burst.

Spurs’ title hopes will live or die at West Ham tonight.

Victory will move them to within a point of leaders Chelsea, while defeat would open the door for Antonio Conte’s side to go seven clear when they host Middlesbrough on Monday.

However, Hammers boss Bilic says they had better enjoy it while it lasts as it will be all downhill when they leave White Hart Lane.

Spurs will spend next season at Wembley, where they struggled badly in the Champions League this term, before moving into a new stadium next door to their old one.

Replicate

West Ham have suffered in their first season after swapping Upton Park for the London Stadium.

Bilic said: “It is going to be very hard for them to replicate that White Hart Lane atmosphere – and at Wembley they have already felt it.

“Of course victories would reduce the time, but after defeats, it’s hard to say, ‘It’s not important’. We needed a lot of time to get used to it.”

While Chelsea lead the title race, Bilic believes Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been the best side to watch.

“Spurs are playing, at the moment and throughout the whole season, the best football,” said Bilic, who will give fitness tests to striker Andy Carroll defender Arthur Masuaku.

“Don’t get me wrong, Chelsea deserve to be on top because they didn’t have a ‘hole’ in their season.

“But sometimes I have gone like, ‘How have Chelsea managed to make that gap?’, because Tottenham have been so good.”

Bilic dismissed fresh speculation over his future, adding: “It’s not the time to talk about my situation. It’s the time to talk about the club. I’m very calm.”
