MICK’S BACK ON THE MANOR

Dyer’s return to spark fireworks

- By PETER DYKE peter.dyke@dailystar.co.uk

THESE are the first pictures of a sensational return to EastEnders by Danny Dyer.

Fans will see his character Mick Carter back at The Queen Vic after an absence of five weeks – and spoiling for a fight.

The actor was written out of the show by BBC bosses to take a break after suffering from exhaustion.

His absence was explained by a plot which saw Mick suddenly jet out to Bulgaria after learning daughter Nancy had been ® hit by a car there. Since he has been away, he has missed a lot of Albert Square action.

Mick’s dementia-suffering grandmother Sylvie (Linda Marlowe) died in a freak accident when her stereo fell in the bath and electrocuted her.

Meanwhile, his mum Shirley (Linda Henry) conspired with his wife Linda (Kellie Bright) to sign away the Queen Vic to villain Max Branning (Jake Wood) to pay for repairs to the pub and vet bills for sick dog Lady Di.

And a new bar manager in the shape of Woody, played by Lee Ryan, has been drafted in.

Danny is tipped to return on Friday, May 19, and bosses have promised fireworks as he finds out what has been going on behind his back.

He is set to clash with Shirley and there are rumours he will be involved in a punch-up with cocky Woody.

A source on the show said: It’s fair to say there’s going to be a lot of shouting and maybe even some fisticuffs.” Kat and Alfie in a spin:
