Euro vision

EUROVISION hopeful Lucie Jones is using Saturday’s Song Contest as a dry run for her hen do.

The Welsh wonder wins even if she gets “nil points” in Kiev because she is getting married this summer.

And partying in Ukraine’s capital could be the perfect send-off.

Lucie explained: “Can you imagine if I went back to Kiev for my hen do? That would be hilarious.

“I was talking to Scott Mills (Eurovision commentator) and we were going through some of the weird and wonderful things that are in the Kiev guidebook and making some notes. I actually don’t know where my hen do is – my maid of honour is being very cloak and dagger about it. I have high expectations, so it can’t be crap!”

Lucie arranged her big day and honeymoon around Eurovision, saying: “I’m getting married in late August and it’s just going to be so awesome.”

But Eurovision fans aren’t expecting much joy for UK song Never Give Up On You, perhaps in revenge for Brexit. Lucie told 888sport: “There’s a political aspect every year and this year there are different motives for political voting.

“That thing is completely out of my hands, I’m going anyway so I’ve got to smash it!”

If she flops, Lucie believes we only have ourselves to blame.

She joked: “I was chosen by the British public so if I come last it’s their fault!

“I’m kidding!” ¬
