WENG NOT A FOUR-CE

Stoke out to spike Guns

-

OUR 16-1 tip N’Golo Kante was named PFA Player of the Year, so we are in a good form to tackle the battle for the final two Champions League places.

Arsenal’s excellent wins over Manchester United and Southampton in the past week make them 4-1 with us to finish in the top four and 8-11 to win at Stoke today. However, the Gunners do not have a great recent record at Stoke, winning just once in their last eight visits and this is the acid test. Arsene Wenger’s side must take three points to keep their Champions League hopes alive and my suspicion is that they will fall just short this afternoon. I recommend Stoke on the double chance (draw or win) with BetVictor at 23-20. If the Gunners do manage to beat Stoke it will increase the pressure on Liverpool, who travel to the London Stadium to play West Ham tomorrow. The Reds have picked up wins at Watford, West Brom and Stoke without being at their best. Jurgen Klopp’s side are 7-10 to maintain their excellent recent run on the road, with the Irons 21-5 and the draw at 3-1. The hosts have kept clean sheets in their last three home games but their 1-0 win against Spurs was their only home victory against a side in the top half of the division.

It is a fascinating game and the Reds mind-set will surely be influenced by events in the Potteries.

A win for the Gunners and Liverpool must take all three points to keep Champions League qualification in their own hands. If Arsenal drop points, a draw will do for the Reds, especially with Manchester United (16-1 to finish the campaign in the top four) travelling to White Hart Lane later in the day.

Our day begins with Man City, who have lost their last two Premier League games to Leicester and conceded seven times – including a defining 3-1 defeat at the Etihad last season which was crucial in the Foxes’ push for the title.

City will not have everything their own way but the recommendation is for Pep Guardiola’s side to win today and both teams to score at 7-5.

Jamie Vardy has scored seven times in his last 10 Premier League games and is 2-1 to find the back of the City net. Take BetVictor’s 21-20 about Crystal Palace to beat Hull tomorrow. Go to betvictor.com for all the relegation odds.
