...but he’ll be back for final

PAUL POGBA is set to miss Manchester United’s last two Premier League games following the death of his father.

Pogba has been in France for the funeral of his dad, Fassou Antoine, who died on Friday aged 79 after a long illness.

The midfielder misses tonight’s trip to Southampto­n and his compassion­ate leave is expected to extend to the final league game, at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

But the £89m French star is expected to return for the Europa League Final against Ajax in Stockholm a week today.

“I don’t think that Paul has the conditions to play,” said United boss Jose Mourinho.

“We have left him completely free to be back when he thinks he’s ready.”

United goalkeeper David De Gea could have just one game left for ® United, with Real Madrid still after the Spaniard.

Mourinho has already confirmed No.2 keeper Sergio Romero will keep his place in the team for the Europa League final, the Argentine having played in 11 of the 14 games in the competitio­n this season.

The United boss also revealed Romero would play in one of the two remaining Premier League games.

Mourinho has been juggling his squad ahead of the showdown against Ajax, with tonight’s trip to St Mary’s their 14th game since the beginning of April.
