Costa in Chinese call-out

- By DAVID WOODS

DIEGO COSTA has been told to quit Chelsea and seal a mega-money move to China. Former Blues star Oscar wants his old team-mate to follow him out of Stamford Bridge this summer. But he believes it’s not just about the £570,000 a week Costa (left) could earn if he joins Tianjin in a £76m deal. Oscar, who joined Shanghai SIPG in a £60m deal in December, said: “If Costa moves here, I will be delighted. He is pursuing happiness and I hope everyone has a happy life. “Everyone has got to figure out the things he wants most

and coming to China is the best choice for me.”

As well as Tianjin, who failed with a bid for Costa in January, three other Chinese Super League teams are chasing him.

Guangzhou Evergrande, Hebei China Fortune and Jiangsu Suning are believed to be keen on the Spain star.

The 28-year-old wants a big pay rise to stay at Chelsea and the club are exploring the possibility of selling him.

Blues boss Antonio Conte wants to revamp his forward line and bring in Romelu Lukaku, who is valued by Everton at £100m.

Real Madrid ace Alvaro Morata is a target to leave Michy Batshuayi’s future in doubt.

West Ham are confident they can land the 23-year-old Belgium striker, who came off the bench to score the only goal at West Brom on Friday which sealed the Premier League crown.

The Hammers are hoping to take him on loan next season for a £3m fee with a view to a permanent £25m signing.

Batshuayi, whose playing time has been limited this season, said: “You always have to continue working even when you’re having hard times and very difficult moments like I’ve had this season.

“Of course this is a lesson for me, a period that’s been very hard for me, but I’ve also learned a lot. I’ve made a lot of progress.

“As a man, mentally, but also physically and tactically too.

“That’s a given with a manager like Conte. He likes you to work, work, work every day. There were a lot of frustrations, but this is a big club, with a lot of good players.

“I need to understand it a bit too. I’m a bit younger than some of the other guys.

“But I’ve always kept my head high, stayed cool and kept on working. I’m very happy for myself and for team. I’m really happy that I’ve put my mark into history. Friday was a magical moment, like in a dream.”

Meanwhile, Paul Clement will try to tempt Chelsea skipper John Terry to Swansea this summer.

The Swans boss said: “I know John, he is a top player and a free agent.

“It would be sensible to have a discussion with him to see if he would be interested.”
