Pupils’ tears for Saffie, 8
CLASSMATES of the youngest victim of the Manchester suicide bombing wept yesterday as they performed her favourite pop song during a special assembly in her memory.
Pupils at Tarleton Community Primary School in Lancashire sang Don’t Stop Believin’ from Glee as a tribute to eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos. Headteacher Chris Upton said in a statement: “Saffie was a beautiful little girl in every aspect of the word.”
Saffie’s mum Lisa, who runs a chip shop in Leyland, and elder sister Ashlee, 25, are recovering in different hospitals after being injured by flying shrapnel from the bomb.
