Judge foils old pal act

A JUDGE sent a defendant to the cells after he called him “mate” when asked how he would pay fines dating back five years.

Simon Cooper warned Sebastian Stroud, 35, “I am not going to be spoken to like that” during a hearing at Swindon Magistrates.
