ALMOST one in two UK workers have lied on their CV to land a job, a poll has revealed.
Just over 45% of job-seekers aged 18-39 confessed to porkies about their past, usually regarding their qualifications and work history.
Xref, a company offering a CV checking service to firms, also found that 42% of employers failed to chase up references before taking on new staff.
