BBC chiefs are to air a shocking toe-sucking scene in the new series.

In the period drama, viewers will meet a sexmad vicar, The Reverend Osborne Whitworth.

When he is told that nookie is off the menu with his wife during her pregnancy, he has a scandalous fling with her 15-year-old sister Rowella.

In the original series, TV favourite Christopher Biggins played the slimy minister and filmed a sex scene where he sucked the teenager’s toes.

But the BBC cut it as they were terrified of a backlash.

Biggins revealed: “The scene was a close-up of her foot and my tongue.

Graphic

“But when the head of the BBC saw it, he said: ‘There’s no way I can put that scene out on a Sunday night after Dad’s Army!’ So it was never shown.”

However, the BBC now plans to include the graphic scene in the latest – and third – series.

Actor Christian Brassington will take on the role as Whitworth and will have a naughty toe-sucking moment.

Series three will open with Ross and Demelza (Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson) back together following their break-up at the end of last season.

But stormy waters are ahead – flame-haired Demelza is set for an affair with handsome newcomer Hugh Armitage (played by Josh Whitehouse, right).

She teased: “He pays Demelza some attention, which is nice!

“I’m not going to give anything away but I’m intrigued to see how the fans respond to it.” ¬

Poldark is back next month.
