AFTER months of waiting, the Nokia 3310 is finally reborn and on sale now.

This rebooted feature phone looks set to be hugely popular as it now comes with a bigger colour screen, never-ending battery and £49 price tag.

If you’re thinking of buying the 3310 there’s plenty to love about this new device but sadly there’s also some features that could make you wish you’d saved your cash.

Here’s five reasons why you should and should not buy the Nokia 3310.

THE GOOD At just £49.99, the new Nokia 3310 is a deal-hunter’s dream.

Flagship phones continue to get more costly and, with some rumours suggesting the new iPhone 8 will be the most expensive ever, the 3310 is an absolute bargain. This is something the original Nokia 3310 didn’t include but the all-new phone can take pictures with its 2-megapixel snapper. And it even includes an L E D flash for when the lights are low. Nokia is boasting that its new feature phone can last for a whole month on a single charge – most modern smartphones barely last a day. The original 3310 was famed for coping with what life had to throw at it.

In fact, one user recently revealed his 3310 was still going strong after 17 years. This new device is thought to be even tougher and looks like it should withstand being dropped on the floor. The classic game of Snake makes a return to the 3310 with a totally refreshed version that makes full use of the larger colour screen. THE BAD There is the ability to download some limited apps on the Nokia 3310 but there’s no sign of hugely popular services such as WhatsApp or Facebook. Not including them on the 3310 could turn out to be one of Nokia’s biggest mistakes. The new 3310 uses the older 2G network, which many countries are beginning to turn off.

This means the phone won’t work in many places including the US. Nokia might have included a rear camera on the 3310 but not a front-facing snapper, so there’s no way to snap a selfie. If you want to bash out a lengthy email to one of your pals, then forget it. The Nokia 3310 reverts to the old-fashioned way of inputting text by tapping numerous times on each key. The 3310 is a perfect spare phone or a good device to pack for a festival. However sadly it uses a different SIM to most smartphones, so there’s no easy and quick way to transfer your phone number.
