Clive can enjoy Angel delight

CLIVE COX has had his hands full trying to keep a lid on the very talented but hard pulling HARRY ANGEL (3.30), who will be difficult to beat in the Group Two Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock.

Last season’s Mill Reef Stakes winner ran a cracker on his seasonal bow when second to Blue Point over today’s trip at the beginning of the month at Ascot, and a reproduction of that will be good enough.

Nibble

WAADY (4.05) has won five times over the minimum trip, so have a nibble each-way on John Gosden’s speedster when he rocks up in the Group Two Temple Stakes run over five furlongs.

He had a warm-up for this over six furlongs at this course a fortnight ago, and that will have put him cherry-ripe.

FRONTIERSMAN (2.40) has every right to be called one of the best-bred horses in the world as he is by Dubawi out of multiple Group One-winning mare Ouija Board.

He hacked up in a Newmarket handicap off a perch of 101 on 1,000 Guineas day at HQ and, although stepping up in class in the Listed Weddingmates.com Stakes, he looks up to the task.

The last time OUT DO (3.50) visited the winner’s enclosure it came off a mark of 109 at York over the minimum trip.

David O’Meara’s sprinter lines up off a rating of 99 in the Unibet Handicap over the same course and distance so have a few quid each way.

The eight-year-old shaped well last time out.
