Fargo,

FLAMBOYANT new host Noel Fielding is spending twice as long in hair and makeup as TV judge Paul Hollywood.

He even took longer to be dolled up than co-stars Sandi Toksvig and Prue Leith while filming.

A source for the Channel 4 series said: “Noel wants to be the most glamorous in that tent.”

Filming of the show, poached from the BBC last year, has been taking place for four weeks now in Welford Park, Berks.

When the cameras started rolling, The Mighty Boosh comedian was booked in for 45 minutes in hair and make-up.

By comparison Hollywood was in for 25 minutes.

In another session, Noel was assigned 65 minutes for styling.

That was the same amount of time to be groomed as new judge Prue and co-host Sandi. Channel 4 declined to comment. But an on-set source said: “This year we have three new stars on the show – Prue, Sandi and Noel – and, as with any TV production, time is factored in for make-up, hair and wardrobe staff to get to know what everyone needs.

“These were timings for the early stages of filming.

“Within days of settling in, these changed to shorter amounts of time needed.” Last Of The Grantchester
