SURVIVORS of the Manchester suicide bomb vowed to attend Ariana Grande’s benefit concert in their thousands.
Organisers said 80% of the 21,000 crowd will be back for Sunday’s show.
About 17,000 had registered for free passes by yesterday’s 4pm deadline.
Klicea-Nicole Richardson, 20, who had to be carried out of the Arena in her wheelchair after the blast, said she and pals who also escaped were determined to join thousands of fellow survivors.
She said: “I have registered for the free tickets but haven’t heard anything back, so I do feel a little worried that I’m not going to be able to go. I’d really like to.
“It would mean a lot to be there. We’re still, all of us, very shocked and traumatised.’’ The Black Eyed Peas confirmed yesterday that they will appear alongside Ariana, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That and Niall Horan.
Madonna is reportedly considering jetting in to perform.
All proceeds will go to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund which has already raised £6million to help victims’ families.
Greater Manchester Police chief constable Ian Hopkins said the majority of the victims’ families were “very much in favour” of the concert.
Tickets go on sale at 10am today. They can only be obtained from official seller Ticketmaster’s website at ticketmaster.co. uk/arianagrandemanchester.
Fans who were at Ariana’s first gig and have registered will be emailed a unique link by Ticketmaster which they can use to redeem their free tickets by 8:59am tomorrow.
