Races is on to land Lukaku

- by JEREMY CROSS and CHRIS McKENNA

ROMELU LUKAKU’S agent last night insisted that Everton are willing to sell the striker – if the price is right. Manchester United and Chelsea are now ready to swoop for the Belgian ace (left) after Mino Raiola revealed he is up for grabs. Everton want £100m for the 24-year-old but it is unlikely any club will bid that much for a player who has two years left on his contract. Lukaku snubbed a new deal worth around £120,000 a week to extend his stay at Goodison earlier this year. Boss Ronald Koeman has insisted that, unlike fellow contract rebel Ross Barkley, he is not for sale. But Raiola said: “Lukaku had a promise that if certain clubs came this summer he could leave. We

just weeks after the season finished. Guardiola splashed out £43m last week to lure Portugal and Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva to City.

Silva came through the ranks at Benfica alongside Ederson and says he will be a huge success with Guardiola’s men.

He said: “If he comes, of course I’ll be very happy, because I know him very well.

“I had the pleasure of sharing some moments at Benfica’s youth teams, although he is a year older than me. He is a great goalkeeper and if I can play with him next season I’ll be very happy.”

Ederson’s arrival will signal the end for Joe Hart, who has spent this season on loan with Italian outfit Torino.

City will now listen to offers for England star Hart in the hope of selling him to the highest bidder.

Willy Caballero, who ousted Chilean flop Claudio Bravo towards the end of the season, is also set to move on.
