TEZZA Vs JEZZA

Which one has the BREXIT factor for you?

THERESA May goes head to head with Jeremy Corbyn today in the battle for Number 10.

Millions will cast their votes after considering one key question: Which leader will win us the best Brexit deal?

THERESA May and Jeremy Corbyn made lastditch dashes across the country yesterday before going head-to-head in the battle for No 10.

Jezza and Tezza criss-crossed the UK appealing to voters after an up-and-down campaign for both leaders.

Tory leader Mrs May visited London, Southampton, Norwich and the West Midlands, clocking up 567 miles on her battlebus and telling voters only she can secure a good Brexit.

Labour leader Mr Corbyn, meanwhile, only notched up 526 miles.

But he managed to speak at an impressive six rallies, starting in Glasgow and ending up in London, warning voters they had “24 hours to save the NHS”.

The Conservatives will hope going the extra mile yesterday pays off after the polls close tonight. Millions of Brits will head to polling stations from 7am today.

Dismal

Last night pollsters generally agreed Mrs May was still on course to win the election.

But some forecasters predict she will lose seats and is not a dead cert for an overall majority, which could see a hung parliament.

Labour has fought back to narrow the gap after dismal polling in recent months.

Mrs May spent yesterday attempting to hammer home to voters how she needs a big Commons majority so she can help Britain secure a better Brexit.

She said: “My plan to deliver that brighter future will make sure all four corners of our United Kingdom benefit from the opportunities Brexit will bring.

“But all this depends on getting the best deal for Britain in the Brexit negotiations.”

Mr Corbyn, however, told crowds a Labour government would be “for the many, not the few”.

He pledged to pump an extra £37billion of funding into the NHS over the next five years.

“The Conservatives have spent the last seven years running down our NHS, our proudest national institution,” he said.

“Our NHS cannot afford five more years of underfunding, understaffing and privatisation.”

Labour were praying for good weather last night as they are relying on a large turnout, particularly among Mr Corbyn’s young fanbase. But forecasters predicted showers and mild conditions.
