OUR BUBBLE’S BURST

-

ENGLAND coach Eddie Jones has warned people not to expect another game of champagne rugby against Argentina in Sante Fe tonight.

Last weekend’s thriller in San Juan contained eight tries and finished with Red Rose debutant Denny Solomona crossing to seal a last-gasp 38-34 win.

But Jones said of tonight’s game: “I think it might be a bit of a slugathon. It’s very rare that you get two games the same.

“The second game is generally never like the first game. If the first game has been open, the second game has been tighter, so we are prepared for both.

“We want to become a very adaptable team, able to play both ways. If we have to slug it out or if we have to play in an open affair like it was last week.”

England have made three changes to face the Pumas with veteran Chris Robshaw and centre Piers Francis, who earns his promotion after impressing ® from TOM BAXTER off the bench last week when he replaced Alex Lozowski, coming in.

Flanker Sam Underhill will make his debut in the back row.

Jones will also have one eye on tomorrow’s Under-20 World Cup Final.

England play New Zealand and Jones will consider fast-tracking some of those up-and-coming players into this summer’s 45-man elite squad.
