The love of Jo
THE widower of murdered MP Jo Cox said he was “awed” by the way in which the UK embraced his wish for communities to celebrate togetherness on the anniversary of his wife’s death.
Brendan Cox played in his folk band at one of tens of thousands of events around the country organised as part of The Great Get Together. Mr Cox said he spent Friday with his family. His wife, was murdered on June 16 last year in Birstall, West Yorks. Elsewhere all faiths gathered at All Saints Church in Jo’s constituency Batley.
A series of walks had set off from Batley in May, one to Edinburgh.
