Perry has Trumped Donald in Twitt war
SHE’S FIRST TO 100M
POP star Katy Perry has become the first person with 100million Twitter followers, despite US President Donald Trump claiming the title.
Twitter announced: “Today we witness history. Congratulations Katy Perry, the first to reach 100 million followers #LoveKaty”.
But President Trump took a swipe at her.
On the same day, he boasted: “The Fake News Media hates when I use what has turned out to be my very powerful Social Media – over 100 million people.” But the President only has 32m followers on his personal Twitter account. It is not clear how he got to the 100m figure, because the President of the United States (POTUS) account only has 18m, making his grand total 50m. Katy was a vocal Hillary Clinton supporter during her presidential campaign. She even joined the Democrat hopeful on stage at her election night party in New York. Singer Justin Bieber has 96m followers, former US President Barack Obama 90m and Katy’s rival Taylor Swift 85m.
