Troubled star faces wife Jo back home
DANNY Dyer returned home for “crunch talks” with Joanne Mas last night after his affair with Sarah Harding was exposed.
The EastEnders star’s troubled year hit a new low after it emerged he enjoyed a six-week fling with the Girls Aloud star.
Danny, 39, has spent the last week living alone in a four-star hotel 19 miles away from his wife and kids.
But he was believed to be back home with wife Joanne last night as his Porsche was spotted on the drive of the family mansion in Essex.
Danny and childhood sweetheart Jo have been together for 20 years despite the star admitting to cheating on her.
The pair, who have three children together, only married last year.
But pals feared the worst last night after their marriage was rocked by news of his romance with Sarah.
Romped
The pair romped in hotels after Danny seduced her on the set of 2012 flop Run For Your Wife – ironically about a man with two women in his life.
They shared several bedroom scenes together during filming at studios in Wimbledon, south west London.
It is claimed Sarah thought he was single and was heartbroken when she discovered Danny had a partner.
A source said: “He fell in lust with her. Danny and Sarah spent a lot of time together learning lines, running through their scripts and practising their kisses.
“Before they knew it they were spending more time kissing off screen than on. Danny played a blinder and managed to get Sarah into bed.
“But eventually his mask slipped. She felt hurt and incredibly betrayed by him.”
Danny and Sarah are thought to have got together at the Holiday Inn in Sutton, Surrey, a few miles away from the set of the film.
In Run For Your Wife, Danny played a cabbie secretly juggling two wives.
Since the news of the affair broke, fans have headed to social media to give their opinion. Sean Clarke tweeted: “Sarah Harding didn’t know Danny Dyer – whose private life is splashed all over the papers – was in a relationship?? Haha, OK then.”
Another added: “Why don’t they just leave him alone #sendinghugs”
Others are now worried the news could send the troubled star back to rehab and out of EastEnders again.
Emma Spooner wrote: “Please do not leave me you’re my favourite fictional character in the whole world.”
Danny was forced to take an extended break from the soap earlier this year, with bosses saying he was suffering from exhaustion over his non-stop filming schedule.
The actor, who previously starred in low-budget British movies such as Pimp and Doghouse, was hailed as the saviour of EastEnders when he joined in 2013.
Weeks before his forced break, Danny had tried to quit alcohol but fell off the wagon at the National Television Awards, where he had to be calmed down by fellow EastEnders stars.
Danny, paid £400,000 a year, returned to screens earlier this month.
