EMMERDALE’s Katie Sugden is looking so much better these days than she looked when she was last on that show. Health-wise, plunging to her death at that barn did her very few favours.

Having said that, the character she’s playing when she turns up in episode three of FEARLESS (9pm, ITV) – or, if you insist on nit-picking, the character that actress Sammy Winward is playing – is still not the happiest of souls.

Here she’s a young mum, Siobhan, who it turns out posed underage for dodgy photographer Tony Pullings, back in 2003 – and who could now help get him banged up. This would be a huge victory for the show’s main character, human rights lawyer Emma Rather-Smug, as she fights to clear the name of this other guy, Kevin Russell, put away at that time for murdering a schoolgirl.

Trouble is, shadowy figures are putting pressure on Siobhan to keep her trap shut. And they’re doing a scarily effective job. AIDAN hooks his iPad up to his telly to play some music in tonight’s CORONATION STREET (7.30pm & 8.30pm, ITV), then hauls Maria off to the bedroom.

Big deal, you may be thinking. But actually, yes, it is, smartypants, because up on the screen, while he and Maria are busy doing other stuff, pops a text from Eva that he fails to spot: “Back home early. Explain later. xxx” Will she finally catch them at it? EVER tried alcohol-free wine? Not great, is it? In SUPERMARKET SHOPPING

SECRETS (9pm, BBC1), Gregg Wallace visits a firm in Germany that claims it’s finally cracked it. And boy, is he impressed? Up to a point.
