I’M thinking about having a wild, passionate affair with a guy at work.

We flirt all the time and have kissed passionately at leaving parties. He once groped me after a particularly boozy lunch.

I go bright red when he talks to me and colleagues have threatened to throw a bucket of cold water over us.

I’ve been married for eight years but I’m bored with my marriage and my sex life. I don’t wish to lose my house or get a divorce but I crave excitement.

My mate’s partner left her for a younger woman last year. She says I should have fun while I’m still young and attractive.

I respect my husband, he works hard and is decent, but we’re more like brother and sister these days.

He has his friends and interests and I have mine.

We still have sex, but it’s pretty routine PRESS 1 for GENERAL COUNSELLING for all personal and relationship difficulties PRESS 2 for SEXUAL GUIDANCE for all men’s and women’s intimate problems – dare I finally throw caution to the wind and live a little?

JANE SAYS: Having a wild affair may seem like a sizzling idea but what about your husband and the future?

The very fact you’re asking this question leads me to suspect that you’re not sure about sleeping with your colleague.

Let me start by saying don’t be toom influenced by your friend. The chances are she’s still feeling bitter and angry. Do you really want to risk your marriage and your home for an office fling?

I don’t subscribe to the idea of ‘nostrings-attached sex’ because there is no accounting for emotions. What if you emerge with terrible feelings of guilt? Or a sexually transmitted infection? What if someone tries to blackmail you?

Turn your attention to your marriage. If things aren’t right, then use your pent-up energy in order to fix it.

I’M really worried that my mum’s newish boyfriend is already cheating on her.

He moved in here before Christmas and works from our home. The other day I was off sick and could hear him on the phone.

I’m sure he was speaking to other women and I’m convinced that I heard him arranging a meet-up in a hotel with one of them. My mum trusts him so much and would be devastated if he is playing around. What shall I do? I’m 17.

JANE SAYS: How close are you to your mother? How you proceed next depends on your relationship. Make sure you have your facts absolutely straight before you think of saying anything publicly. Is there another family member (like a grandparent) you could share and confide in?

It’s too late to make decisions about the wedding now – at least you’re safe I’ll have to tell Beth straight, however hard it is Beth, listen to me, I’ve… Oh Jack, I’ve been worried sick, where have you been? Just go to sleep now How am I going to end this? It’s much harder than I thought Beth, we’ve got to talk
