HART READY TO CUT AND RUN

- By JEREMY CROSS

JOE HART will have to accept a wage cut to find a new club and bring an end to his Manchester City nightmare.

Hart is desperate to leave the Etihad this summer after Pep Guardiola made it clear he was not wanted.

The England goalkeeper was sent to Italian team Torino on loan last season, with Guardiola insisting he was not good enough for City.

Guardiola spent £18m on Claudio Bravo from Barcelona and has just landed Brazilian keeper Ederson from Benfica in a £35m deal.

City are willing to sell Hart to the highest bidder, but it is believed there are no firm offers on the table.

West Ham have shown interest in Hart, but are not willing to match his wages of £125,000 a week.

The 30-year-old, who has won 71 England caps, is in the strange position of being his country’s No.1 keeper but cannot find a club interested in signing him.

Hart (right) has been advised to lower his wage demands to improve his chances of securing a move.

He would prefer to remain in the Premier League, but will not rule out moving back to a European club.

The keeper could be left with no choice but to join the rest of Guardiola’s squad for their summer tour of America.

City leave for the US in less than two weeks and Hart is expected to be on the plane.

Ederson will be Guardiola’s first choice keeper for the trip, but back-up Bravo will be taking an extended break following his involvement in the Confederations Cup in Russia with Chile.

It could leave Hart in the embarrassing position of having to join Guardiola’s men on the pre-season tour despite him looking for a new club.

Hart has endured a miserable relationship with Guardiola since the Spaniard took charge last summer.
