SCOTT HAMILTON defied the UK heatwave to smash his personal best with a 7lb 10oz chub.

Globetrotting UK angler Greg Iszatt has smashed the world record for a golden mahseer with a stunning 66lb fish. The Oxfordshire-based rod took the monster from the Mahakali River in the north of India, his only catch in five difficult days fishing.
The capture of the rare fish had become an obsession for Greg, and he achieved his ambition thanks to presenting a snow trout on a size 4/0 hook.
The official IGFA world record for the species stands at 44lb, caught in 2013.
